Several one-year center planning grants have been recently funded. These groups will be working to develop full center proposals over the 2010-2011 academic year. Planning grants were awarded or are continuing in the following areas:
- Ethics, Law and Religion (Simeon Ilesanmi, Religion)
- Migration and Cultural Diversity Studies (Margaret Bender, Anthropology)
- Performance and the Liberal Arts (Cindy Gendrich, Theater and Dance)
The Provost’s Office will fund planning for additional centers in 2011-2012. Each of these one-year planning grants should be used to develop and submit a five-year operational plan for a new center.
