Funding Opportunities

Central to the Provost Office’s mission is to support Wake Forest faculty in their research, scholarship, and creative work. We support our faculty in this work through a number of internal funding opportunities, through assisting them in finding funding opportunities, and through administrative support for both internal and external grants.

Global Wake Forest

At the helm of Global Wake Forest is the Provost Office of Global Affairs which oversees the Center for Global Programs and Studies (GPS), the Center for Immigration Services and Support (ISS), the Center for Research on Abroad and International Student Engagement (RAISE), and the WFU residential and academic centers around the world. Global Affairs also works across the WFU Collegiate University to support all academic units in achieving their goals towards advancing global mindsets which includes student grants for international research, faculty funds to host international conferences and scholars, and international opportunities for faculty development.

Faculty Development

Wake Forest is dedicated to creating avenues for professional development, ensuring our faculty are always poised to thrive in their academic endeavors. The Provost’s Office provides funding and programming to support the outstanding faculty who carry out Wake Forest’s core mission of academic excellence. Through the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, the Provost’s Office supports professional development opportunities in the essential work of our teacher-scholars, teaching faculty, and researchers. The Provost’s Office also sponsors opportunities for faculty leadership development as well as many other areas of professional development offered through the Workday Learning and Linkedin Learning platforms.

Faculty-Student Engagement

As a collegiate university dedicated to the education and mentoring of its students, Wake Forest University promotes and fosters exceptional faculty-student engagement.  The dedicated teacher-scholars on the faculty at Wake Forest take this commitment seriously and thrive on their engagement with students.  The Office of the Provost supports such engagement through the following programs.
